MJ HALL COSTUMES

ABOUT MJ
deI believe that theater can raise the voices of the oppressed to reach a general audience and affect them emotionally. As a costumer, it is my job to help raise those voices by collaborating to bring the character to life. I also believe that every costume should be a piece of art unto itself, whether because of its aesthetics or the story it tells about the character.
I graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, in the spring of 2015 with a BFA in Theater Design and Technology. Then I received my Master of Fine Arts from the University of Arkansas in 2018. I've worked all over the country and am currently the costume shop supervisor for The University of Southern Mississippi.
