MOTHER COURAGE AND HER CHILDREN

PROJECT FOR THEATRICAL COLLABORATION, FALL 2017

PROFESSORS: PATRICIA MARTIN & MICHAEL LANDMAN

This project was to collaborate with a graduate director on a scene from MOTHER COURAGE AND HER CHILDREN. Cole's inspiration was post apocalyptic rural Arkansas and we worked on the final scene of the play. I thought about how fabric would degrade and need to be repaired without the ability to create new clothing. I also wanted to show Mother Courage and Kattrin's degradation over the course of the war. These renderings were marker, pastel, and ink on art paper.
